Dealer Comments
This is a great example of the air-cooled twins period that was Yamaha's meat and potatoes for so many years. The TX650 was an early Japanese tribute to the British twins that dominated the motorcycle industry in the 60s and 70s.
This example is in wonderful original condition and is entirely bone stock. Owned for many years by a local Yamaha dealer who sold it new and bought back years later before placing it in storage. We professionally recommissioned it to be a full runner as well as an example of Yamaha's 4 stroke history. In preparation for sale we did the following:
Both carbs were sonic cleaned, rebuilt and tuned
Compression test - 115 lbs. for both cylinders
Replace oil and filter
Service chain
Replace both petcocks
Installed new battery
Replaced air filters with OEM filters
New spark plugs
Replace front tire
Professionally detailed
This bike starts and runs as new. We even have the original owners manual. It may be the nicest example of its kind out there.
