This beautiful Rumi Junior is a lightweight street racer from the golden era of Italian long-distance racing. The 125cc capacity class was the most popular in Italy in the 1950s. All Rumi motorcycles were built to the highest standards and had a reputation for excellence as well as a proven track record of racing wins with the flat-twin two-strokes. The company was founded by Donnino Rumi to build textile manufacturing machinery in 1914 servicing the country’s burgeoning fashion industry. Officine Fonderie Rumi switched gears during World War II as demand from the Italian military for precision machinery found the company building midget two-man submarines and torpedos for the war effort. This gave rise to the company’s distinctive anchor logo.This rare Junior is in excellent cosmetic condition.
