Here's a unicorn you've probably never seen in person. This CBX400F may look pretty conventional at first but closer inspection reveals some impressive tech especially for a 1982 motorcycle. This smooth and quick 4 cylinder 400 will amaze you with its razor sharp handling and lightweight feel - again on a 42 year old JDM (Japanese domestic market) motorcycle!Several innovations make this an exceptional investment ~Fairings are common today but this was the first Japanese sport motorcycle with a standard factory frame mounted fairing giving it the Integra name. The naked version is somewhat attainable in Asia but a stock Integra is super rare even in Japan. The next thing that will catch your eye is the inboard disc brakes on Comstar wheels. Then there's the first anti-dive mechanism (TRAC) and mono-shock rear suspension. Also rare for the time is Honda's self cancelling signalsThis example is totally stock and "unmolested" with original paint and decals. There are some very minor flaws on the decals near the from signals. This is a Type 1 CBX as confirmed by the VIN and the all silver Comstar wheels. The odometer indicates 6500 kilometers converting to just over 4000 miles.In preparation for sale after a few years storage we did the following:Replaced front and rear tiresReplaced battery and checked charging systemRebuilt both master cylindersRebuilt both brake cylindersNew air and oil filters/ oil changeClean and rebuilt carbsNew speedo cableNew spark plugsThe bike starts and runs as new!Clean PA title included. This beautiful Rumi Junior is a lightweight street racer from the golden era of Italian long-distance racing. The 125cc capacity class was the most popular in Italy in the 1950s. All Rumi motorcycles were built to the highest standards and had a reputation for excellence as well as a proven track record of racing wins with the flat-twin two-strokes. The company was founded by Donnino Rumi to build textile manufacturing machinery in 1914 servicing the country’s burgeoning fashion industry. Officine Fonderie Rumi switched gears during World War II as demand from the Italian military for precision machinery found the company building midget two-man submarines and torpedos for the war effort. This gave rise to the company’s distinctive anchor logo.This rare Junior is in excellent cosmetic condition.
