It recently has been refreshed with a new battery and the fuel tank has been cleaned and lined to prevent any rust. What if you put a big loping twin into a great handling euro-style bike? So Yamaha asked this in 81-82 and the XV920R is the result. The proven motor from the Virago 920 powers this remarkably rare 80s. Almost everyone I've seen has been chopped or welded into a custom or cafe. This one is way too nice for that treatment with only a little over 2000 miles on the clock. A long wheelbase and low center of gravity allows you to ride it much quicker than you would think. Think Japanese Ducati.This example is in remarkable condition and bone stock. A small dent on the tank is the only real flaw on the bike. It starts quickly and pulls strongly. Its a blast to ride!After a lengthy storage we recommissioned it by:Sonic cleaning and rebuilding the carbsReplaced spark plugsReplaced batteryOil and filter changedFront calipers and master cylinder rebuiltReplaced intake gasketsClean PA title included. The Yamaha Seca series in the 80s came about during an especially creative development period for Yamaha (and the other Japanese OEMs). The XJ900 fell into a unique position in the market straddling sport and touring before those segments were really defined and sport bikes got serious. Think of the first GSXRs. With a smooth engine, comfortable seating and shaft drive, folks didn't really know what to do with it. So it didn't sell well. People missed out on a spectacular sporty bike you could ride all day.This example is a one -owner, low mileage that has been maintained properly and stored in a climate controlled environment all its life. We purchased it from the original owner and recommissioned it to be ridden and enjoyed. Our team did the following:Installed new Michelin tiresInstalled new batteryFull tune including new spark plugsSonic cleaned, rebuilt and synched carbsOil and filterFront and rear calipers were cleaned and rebuilt The Seca starts, runs and stops like it did when it left the showroom. The paint is perfect except for one scratch on the right side fairing (see pics). The tank inside and out is brand new. The pics speak for themselves.Clean PA title included. You may not be familiar with this model Suzuki but I'm sure you know the engine. It is a 800cc version of the Intruder 750 engine Suzuki made from 1985 to 2007. Bullet proof and smooth, it always needed a proper chassis wrapped around it. The VX800 was only offered here for 2 years but it lived on in Europe for much longer. The very comfortable riding position and shaft drive make it a much better bike than the Intruder to actually RIDE somewhere.This is a very clean example with under 10k miles and in remarkable cosmetic condition. We spared no expense in recommissioning it to be a daily rider that will also appreciate over time.New tires and battery were installed. Fork seals were replacedCarbs were removed and sonic cleaned and rebuiltFront and rear master cylinders were flushed and rebuiltFront and rear brake calipers were rebuilt.Professionally disassembled and detailed - no repainting!This Suzi starts and runs and rides as if new. It is truly just short of a show bike save for some very minor dings on the right side of the tank. Hard to show in pictures because they are so small.Clean PA title included.
